Meet the Staff: The Vectortuts+ Team

Mon, 03/07/2011 - 13:00 — julie

Every week we’ll introduce you to an Envato staff member or team. This week we meet the Vectortuts+ team. This post is taken from the Vectortuts+ Team page on the site.

Sometimes, it’s easy to forget that actual human beings create the content here on Vectortuts+. We are in fact real people, and not just vector loving robots. In addition to numerous part time contributors, we have a team of talented and passionate artists creating all kinds of tutorials and content teaching illustration and design within the context of a vector workflow.

Browse this page to get to know us better and feel free to say hi on Twitter or on Facebook. Also, if you would like to contribute content to the site you can learn more information on our Submission Page.

Hi, I’m the Editor of Vectortuts+ and Tuts+ Marketplace Manager. I used to be the Site Editor for Psdtuts+ for a couple years and I also art directed and managed Creative Sessions as well. I’m passionate about bringing high quality educational material to fruition, working with talented creatives, and creating compelling content.

In my free time I love to draw and create illustrations. I have a background in graphic design and creating websites. I enjoy writing and solving creative problems. Working at Envato™ is an awesome job, and I put my heart into it every day!

Her illustration work has been exhibited locally and internationally in shows such as Yen magazine’s Curvy, Gimme Shelter, Dex,Plastic Pimps, FreQee, The Colour of Munny and Toy2R’s DIY Bart tour.

Working as a designer and a freelance illustrator you can see her work on custom toys, skateboards, badges, t-shirts, CD covers, greeting cards and limited edition prints.

ChewedKandi is the name of artist/designer Sharon Milne. She lives in the North East of England and has a passion for vector art.

Since 2001, she has been creating and appreciating digital art and was even noted as being one of the artists to inspire a new genre of art known as vexel art. In 2006, she began using Adobe Illustrator and has never looked back.

In her spare time, she is found listening to embarrassing music and singing to her cat. You can check out her website portfolio by going to ChewedKandi.net and keep up to date via her Facebook page.

Cheryl Graham trained as a traditional artist in drawing and painting. These days she spends more time in front of the computer than the easel.
