Living in the Philippines, a Windows guy who’d prefer to be a Mac guy, sketching ideas in a drawing book, and never wanting to stop learning. This week we meet Mark Abucayon (Mabuc) from ThemeForest.

If you’re an Envato marketplace author and would like to be interviewed for the blog, head over to this form. We’d love to hear from you.

Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from, what do you do for a living?

I am Mark Abucayon from the Philippines. I graduated last 2006 as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at STI College Philippines. I am an Asian author with a passion of template design and WordPress coding. :) I sell themes/templates and do freelance work in my four years of being a web guy.

Which marketplaces do you belong to? What types of files do you sell?

ThemeForest, I sell HTML templates/themes with WordPress as a bonus. :)

How did you get started? Have you had any formal training?

I worked for a small company before I decided to freelance. No formal training. Self-study, research and reading tutorials online.
