Create Unique Sports-Themed Lettering

Final Image

As always, here is the final image we’ll be creating today:

Step 1

Create a new document 600X600px.

Then paste in this image of a baseball:

baseball photo.

Cut it out from it’s background. I selected it using the circular marquee tool, and then inverted my selection and hit ‘delete’ to delete the background part of the photo.

    Creating websites has been a part of my life since Geocities was popular and a 14.4 modem was at the top of my birthday list. I’m a full-time web designer and developer in the Fargo/Moorhead area located in the northern United States. How I Got 30,000 Twitter Followers

Most of you already know my Twitter account @ WebDesignDev has 30,000 Twitter followers. I am extremely proud of this accomplishment because very few web design blogs command such a large following. I get 150+ clicks for every tweet that I send and tens of thousands of visitors from Twitter every single month. Today, I’m going to share with you my secret as to how I got my 30,000 followers.

When I just started WebDesignDev.com, I obviously didn’t have a Twitter following. As a matter of fact, getting Twitter followers isn’t easy at all – most of you already know that from experience. It wasn’t easy for me either. That is, until I came up with a strategy. After I implemented it, I went from some hundreds of followers to 30,000 now. You are probably thinking that you can’t get there, but I will prove you wrong. Read on to find out how I did it.

Create a new document (1000X1000px).

Create a new layer called clouds, and download this great clouds brush. Then apply it (color: 8fc6ce) to the top of your canvas. Then reduce this layer’s opacity to 25%.
